I've been snowboarding since 1989, and haven't missed a season yet.
UPDATE: I moved to Florida in the fall of 2003, so I missed the winter season. Although I was really upset about it, my knees thanked me for taking a season off.
I've also been teaching snowboarding for the past two winter seasons.
